Terror Alerts

This year on September 11th , display the American flag to memorialize another Day that Shall Live in Infamy. On that solemn day, seeing our flag shall be a reminder that we are in the midst of a terrible war, and that terrorists are enemies - not criminals. Fly the flag at home, on your car, at your place of work.

It was not the United States that declared this war, but we have been challenged to finish it. On September 11th, the fifth anniversary of a horrific act of murderous warfare by Muslim militants, the American flag will be a statement that we may argue about details, but when our beliefs and our nation have been attacked we stand together.

If you agree, pass this on...  HLE

"The Path to 9/11"....
Saw most of the first 1/2 - lots of accurate facts.  We were running a lot of intell at that time and followed closely all the developments.  No wonder the Clintonistas are so adamant about stopping the show.

Lawmakers Want Investigation, Pardon for Border Agents
Members of Congress are petitioning the president to pardon two U.S. Border Patrol agents convicted of assaulting an illegal alien who was trying to smuggle drugs into the U.S. Those lawmakers are now demanding an investigation of the U.S. attorney who prosecuted the agents...  Steven

ALCON ,
The first stoning one can not determine if the women are still alive or sedated.  In the second one it is very apparent that one is alive a tries to escape.  As she gets closer to getting out the men move in close (as to  the kill) and a serious increase in the stoning of her specifically is evident.  I don't understand why the victims were wrapped up completely?  Maybe it is a new interpretation of Mohammed and the ilk's of today want to insure that the criminals do not escape.

I did not think that the two videos were gruesome at all.  It is the method that bothers one.  Not much blood, like the write up leads you to believe.  Although if you have doubts about its possibility then don't watch, but I feel everyone should watch this, regardless.  The truth is the TRUTH, and life is not always pretty, but don't cower behind lies.  PHILIP

- Dumb Sh--
Benton County (Ark.) Central Communications dispatcher Toni Brandon fielded a phone call with gurgling voice that said, "He shot me," but nothing else before it was disconnected. She called the phone back but there was not answer. Dispatcher Tammy Rogers began trying to track down the caller--and it took her two days to learn it was a prank. T-Mobile identified the general location of the call, along with the owner of the pre-paid phone, who lived in another state. Finally T-Mobile provided some called phone numbers from the phone, and Rogers called some and reached a relative. Turns out the owner had lent the phone to her kids as a "toy," but they were using it to dial 911.
Shots Fired....
The city of Minneapolis has installed a gunshot location system using technology from ShotSpotter Inc., hoping to reduce the number of incidents where officers are dispatched to investigate the sounds of gunfire, particularly in the 3rd Precinct. A company press release says it's one of the first installations of the wireless version of the technology developed by the company, and can be linked to video cameras to show the area of the gunfire, and to taping systems to provide archival records. Take it as it is....
A Wake Up Call From Luke AFB AZ :  A certain lieutenant colonel at Luke AFB deserves a big pat on the back. Apparently, an individual who lives somewhere near Luke AFB wrote the local paper complaining about a group of F-16s that disturbed his/her day at the mall. When that individual read the response from a Luke AFB officer, it must have stung quite a bit.

The complaint:
"Question of the day for Luke Air Force Base: Whom do we thank for the morning air show? Last Friday, at precisely 9:11 a.m., a tight formation of four F-16 jets made a low pass over Arrowhead Mall, continuing west over Bell Road at approximately 500 feet. Imagine our good fortune! Do the Tom Cruise-wannabes feel we need this wake-up call, or were they trying to impress the cashiers at Mervyns' early-bird special? Any response would be appreciated."

The response:
Regarding "A wake-up call from Luke's jets" (Letters, Thursday): On June 2, at precisely 9:12 a.m., a perfectly timed four-ship flyby of F-16s from the 63rd Fighter Squadron at Luke Air Force Base flew over the grave of Capt. Jeremy Fresques. Capt. Fresques was an Air Force officer who was previously stationed at Luke Air Force Base and was killed in Iraq on May 29th Memorial Day. At 9 a.m. on June 12th, his family and friends gathered at Sunland Memorial Park in Sun City to mourn the loss of a husband, son and friend.

Based on the letter writer's recount of the flyby, and because of the jet noise, I'm sure you didn't hear the 21-gun salute, the playing of taps, or my words to the widow and parents of Capt. Fresques as I gave them their son's flag on behalf of the President of the United States and all those veterans and servicemen and women who understand the sacrifices they have endured.  A four-ship flyby is a display of respect the Air Force pays to those who give their lives in defense of freedom. We are professional aviators and take our jobs seriously, and on June 2nd what the letter writer witnessed was four officers lining up to pay their ultimate respects.
The letter writer asks, "Whom do we thank for the morning air show?" The 56th Fighter Wing will call for you, and forward your thanks to the widow and parents of Capt. Fresques, and thank them for you, for it was in their honor that my pilots flew  the most honorable formation of their lives.

Lt. Col. Scott Pleus
CO 63rd Fighter Squadron
Luke Air Force Base, Arizona
